Dane Skelund Gloves Review

John Allsopp has been trying out these gloves over the summer…

Our friends at Motoport kindly supplied these Dane for test.

They boast breathable mesh zones and the outer material, membrane and lining are partial glued for better grip and less friction.

There are touch sensitive panels on the thumb and index finger which enable you to use your smartphone or GPS without removing them.

It terms of protection ,the Skelund gloves have a flexible hardshell protection on the knuckles, coupled with TPR protection and foam shock absorber on the fingers and sides.

The leather is doubled on the thumbs, inside and on the sides, whilst the palm is goat leather.

I found these gloves instantly comfortable and with no need for ‘breaking in’. No doubt the fact that the seams are on the outside help here.

Whilst it may initially appear odd to be reviewing summer gloves at the end of September, I would actually place these more in the mid weight category.  With a 100% Gore-Tex liner they are a serious contender for spring and autumn use.
