Cooper Tunbridge Wells reveal the new German Superbike
The Bavarian born firm are tackling the sportsbike market, recently dominated by Japanese and Italian manufacturers, head on. The machine was launched in December with test models available in the spring.
Cooper BMW laid on a fitting launch for this awesome machine. BikeSafe, Kent Fire Bike, Focused events, Kent IAM, BMF, Motorcycle Sport and Leisure Tours and Spinal Research were all represented as well as some excellent free refreshments.
In the flesh, the S1000RR is a striking machine. The looks and specifications are designed to compete with the Fireblade, R1, 1098, GSXR1000 and ZX10R.
It remains to be seen whether the machine can coax away potential buyers of these bikes or if it will attract more existing BMW fans who fancy something sporty.
