A CBR called Harriet

Harriet was purchased in late 2006 as a standard 1988 CBR600f with a very fetching black and red original paint job. I can still remember the day my dad brought her home, as soon as she was dragged off the trailer he was up the road on the back wheel, couldn't resist it, he said!
I am a total petrol head and got my first bike when I was 9 so it was always my intention to take my test and buy myself a nice bike, At the time I never imagined I would own this particular bike plus my dad always seemed so fond of her.
My dad started returning Harriet to her former glory, new paint job, wing mirrors, wheels, tyres and stickers.
I took my test September 2007, I phoned my dad to tell him that I had passed, 'I suppose you want to buy my bike now?' 'yes please daddy' was my response. £600 later she was mine.
My dad soon set about with other projects, A Triumph Daytona and a Honda Fireblade, as featured in issue 6.
The first time I rode Harriet was in a supermarket car park and I thought she was an awesome bike, I couldn't wait to get her out on the road. As you can see from the pictures a trip to the Nürburgring followed soon after.
I have been out riding at every opportunity this summer and I am loving every minute.
Thanks to, my mum and dad for helping me every step of the way, my sister Marie and her partner Brian for trying to keep me safe, my partner Lewis for always being there and for being patient with me and to Nick from South East Biker for giving me the opportunity to tell you guys about Harriet. And also to Harriet for being the best bike in the world. Many thanks as well to Loomies café.
