Inta Motorcycle Services of Maidstone have been operating from their premises in Upper Stone Street since 1995. Run by Austin and ably assisted by Mike, Julian and Eddie, this friendly bike shop, which is A.T.A. approved, has pretty much all any motorcyclist requires. The business started selling used bikes and this still remains a substantial part of their trade.
They have a range of wild custom bikes available in stock at the moment are a stunning Ultra Apache Pro Street 300 and an APC High Roller 240, both low mileage and high spec american choppers. On the forecourt and in the showroom can be found a wide selection of bikes to suit all pockets. New bikes can also be ordered if required. In 1999 Inta started stocking trials machinery and then the kit to go with them. Gas Gas, Beta and Sherco are the main trials bike brands on offer. There is a section of the shop devoted to the sport and includes Airoh, Hebo and RST helmets, plus body armour and trials clothing.
Scooters are a popular line also, with Kymco and Peugeot as the main brands with models available from £1245 on the road. The latest addition to the wide range of machinery on offer is the range of Apache quad bikes. These smart machines are available for both on and off road use up to 450cc and are pretty cool to both ride and look at.
As well as sales, Inta have full servicing facilities, accident repair, an MOT bay and fast fit tyre bay available. Just phone in to make sure the tyres you require are in stock and book an appointment. They run a collection and delivery service for bikes if required. The first floor houses an extensive range of helmets, kit, accessories and spares. Shoei, Scorpion, Spada, Airoh, AGV, Ixon, HJC, Ducchini, Sidi, Wolf and RST are some of the premium brands on offer. Most things not stocked can be ordered with minimal delay.
Inta Motorcycles also take a keen interest in local and national bike sports, sponsoring Adam Clarke running an MZ and Kelvin Hoare in the Rookie 600's, both in the BEMSEE road racing series. On the trials side, Ben Morphett competes in the Expert A series and Ben Willoughby in the British Championship. Austin was a bit of a racer himself in his youth, competing on bikes and in cars!
