Overview of Sidcup & Disctrict Motorcycle Club

The club was founded some time before we affiliated to the ACU which was in 1928. The club has been involved in lots of motorcycle sport. The club was involved in the starting of Brands Hatch (as a grass track circuit pre war). We have had members who have won trophies in the TT. In the past we ran Grass Tracks and Hill Climbs. Today we run Trials, Enduros, Long Distance Trials and Motocross. The club acquired its track - Canada Heights - in the mid 1980s and has been improving facilities ever since. The biggest spectator event is the Early Birds MX, traditionally the first round of the British Championship and huge crowds (10,000+) pack the circuit to watch. From 1999-2001 the UK Sidecarcross GP was also held here.

The Sidcup & District Motor Cycle Club is a non-profit making organisation that runs motorcycle events for Auto Cycle Union (ACU) members. The Sidcup & District MCC is affiliated to the Auto Cycle Union via the South Eastern Centre ACU. The Club is also a member of: - The South Eastern Centre Enduro Combine, The South Eastern Centre Motocross Combine, and The South Eastern Centre Trials Combine, and the North Kent Trials Combine.
